March 3 Donna Lehman America’s First Ladies; a Personal Perspective--An archivist with the Gerald R. Ford Library, Donna will discuss her research on the families of former Presidents.

March 10 Linda Strodtman, Madelaine Conboy, and Ruth Garrison “Klumpes” and “Kidders”--These members of the Ann Arbor Doll Collectors will show how their felt dolls, made for the Spanish tourist industry, bring happiness to the viewer.

March 17 Nancy Bryk News from Hands On--Formerly with the Henry Ford Museum, Nancy, now at Ann Arbor’s Hands On Museum, will bring us up to date on events at the old Fire Hall.

March 24 Rick Hall An Uncorrupt Congress?--A U of M political science professor, Rick will suggest ways for lobbying without special interests or lying.

March 31 Todd Gerring Eighty Years of Archaeology--Todd, Community Outreach Supervisor, will take us from the 1929 establishment of the U of M’s Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in historic Newberry Hall to the opening of its William Upjohn Exhibit Wing in November, 2009.

April 7 John U. Bacon The Bo I Know--Ann Arbor sports expert John Bacon, who appears regularly on National Public Radio, will discuss his book about former U of M football coach Bo Schembechler.

April 14 Deborah Burling The Kempf House Garden: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow--Deborah Burling, Kempf House Garden Director, will talk about what the garden was like when the Kempf's lived in the house, how it has changed, and the challenges of restoring the garden more than 100 years later.

April 21 John J.H. Schwarz A Small Town Doc in Politics--“Joe” Schwarz, MD, FACS, has served this country in local to international venues, from Battle Creek to Asia to Washington, DC, while maintaining his medical practice. His story is one of dedication and humor.
